THE FRENCH MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD VISITS BRITTANY

This Friday, November 19, our teams had the pleasure of receiving the visit of Julien Denormandie, French Minister of Agriculture and Food, at the premises of Cooperl Viandes in Lamballe in Brittany.

He traveled in the region on the subjects of the end of castration and the modernization of french slaughterhouses.

A DAY RICH IN DISCOVERIES AND LEARNING

After a rich exchange where the upmarket, decarbonization and segmentation projects carried out by our cooperative Cooperl were presented, the french Minister was able to visit the Lamballe slaughterhouse in Brittany.

He was particularly interested in our teams of “human noses”, an essential link in the implementation of the cessation of live castration of piglets, initiated in 2008 at Cooperl. Today, 84% of our members no longer castrate their male piglets.
